Order Your Repeat Prescription Online


For all REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS please allow at least 2 working days before collection. Please note that there may also be a delay at the Pharmacy which is outwith our control so PLEASE ORDER IN PLENTY OF TIME.

How to Order your Prescriptions

You can also return your prescription ordering slip to the Practice between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday. There is a dedicated post box inside the Practice. Please note that we do not have an external post box.

Ordering Prescriptions Online
To facilitate online prescriptions in the first instance all you have to do is obtain a pin number from reception at the surgery to access this, this system is accessed online. If you cannot attend the surgery contact us and we will arrange to have this posted to you. 

Pharmacy

Hand your prescription ordering slip into your local pharmacy. Some pharmacies offer a telephone ordering service, please ask your local pharmacy.

Special Requests
Most of the time you will only be prescribed what your doctor has authorised on the up-to-date medical record kept by the practice. Special requests for items not on your repeat list will only be issued if the GP agrees. Please allow 5 working days before contacting the surgery to check if your special request has been issued.

Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
A "SPECIAL REQUEST" i.e. A REQUEST FOR AN ITEM NOT ON YOUR REGULAR LIST OF REPEAT MEDICATIONS, MAY TAKE UP TO 5 DAYS TO PROCESS

If you don’t use it, we can’t reuse it!

Wasted medicines cost NHS Forth Valley approximately £1.2 million every year. When medicines leave the pharmacy they cannot be recycled, reused by anyone else or sent abroad – those which are wasted are all destroyed. 

Wasted medicines can arise when your GP changes or stops a medicine but you can help us to reduce wasted medicines in other ways.

Before ordering your prescription have a look in your medicine cabinet to see what you have and only order the medicines you really need. If you have stopped taking a medicine let your GP or pharmacist know.

Unused and unwanted medicines should ALWAYS be returned to the pharmacy for safe disposal. NEVER put medicines in the bin or flush them down the toilet.
