Protected Learning Time for the Practice Doctors, Nurses and
Administrative Staff
The practice believes strongly in education and keeping up to date. On ten afternoons per year, we close
to 'normal' activity and take part in training on a variety of Clinical and
Practice Administrative topics. We
believe this is a very valuable use of our time and hope you will understand
that the regular running of the practice may be disrupted in a small way now
and again.
During a CREATE afternoon, emergency cover is provided
by Forth Valley Out of Hours and NHS24.

CREATE (Clackmannanshire Resource for Education Audit and Training) was set
up for Clackmannanshire GP Practices by a team inspired and led by Dr Houston
from Dollar and over the years was so successful that it has been adopted and
adapted by the Health Board who now fund it and support it for the whole of
Forth Valley.
Some of the CREATE sessions are held jointly with all seven Clackmannanshire
practices, the rest being 'in-house' when the whole Practice Team meet to
learn, re-learn and update their skills on a wide variety of topics.
